In November 2016 I produced my first radio show for BBC Radio 2, presented by Hollywood actor Dominic Cooper.
Called ‘Dominic Cooper’s Day Off‘, this special programme for BBC Music’s My Generation Season was all about movie soundtracks from the 1980s, inspired by Dominic’s passion for films of that decade and the part they played in him becoming a successful actor.
We started, of course, with music from ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off‘ before going through cult classics like ‘Withnail & I‘, forgotten gems like ‘Mystery Train‘ and some of the decade’s biggest hits such as ‘Dirty Dancing‘ and ‘E.T.‘.
The programme is no longer available on the BBC iPlayer, but you can click or tap here to find out how vampire film ‘The Lost Boys’ inspired the look of Dominic’s first band Dagmar…
