Personally there have been plenty of highlights. In my first year alone we welcomed HRH Prince Harry to the studio for his first live radio interview, we’ve been visited by some of the biggest names in music, movies and showbiz (Phil Collins, Joanna Lumley, Eddie Redmayne, Sophie Turner and Daniel Radcliffe to name just a few favourites) and the show raised £5,475,662.00 in auctions for Children In Need in just five days.
Oh, and Mary Berry judged a cake I’d made. Her reaction when she found a hole in the bottom was priceless…
We’ve taken the show to Shakespeare’s Globe for the 500 Words final, to Chewton Glen in the New Forest and to Glastonbury Festival (where the Prime Minister’s resignation mid-show had to be dealt with at the same time!).
I’ve even put a fire engine on the BBC piazza, spoken to Buzz Aldrin on the phone and produced an interview with a real life Mi6 agent called “Emma”.
Safe to say, it’s unlike any other show out there.
